The era of cheap and easily available raw materials has come to an end – sustainability has become an economic necessity. A moderated talk at the 49th Dornbirn Man-Made Fibers Congress (15 – 17 September) will take a closer look at aspects of Green 2.0, the new age of textile sustainability. The scope of topics will range from changing consumer lifestyles and occasionally confusing product labeling to possible alternatives to products and production processes. Issues such as networking through innovative models of cooperation and a potential shift in the definition of “growth” towards the qualitative aspect will be addressed.
