BGF Industries Inc, part of Porcher Industries, plans to make a $7 million investment to move its headquarters and research and development activities from Greensboro, NC, to Danville and Pittsylvania County, VA. In early 2019, the company will build a new 2,320 m² facility in the Cyber Park industrial park of Danville-Pittsylvania. This will create 65 new jobs.

Porcher Industries has evolved from a regionally organized operation to a thoroughly international group of companies that meets the needs of the global market it serves. The investment in a new US corporate headquarters and a state-of-the-art technology center is a key element in the company's global growth. This enables customers across the continent to benefit from improved technical support and customer service. Following BGF Industries's acquisition of the 13,375 m² Virginia facility last year, this move now confirms Porcher's new Industries´ commitment to the U.S. market.

BGF Industries Inc., which operates under the name Burlington Glass Fabrics, was one of the first glass-fibre textile weavers in the USA when it was founded in 1941 and became a subsidiary of the Porcher Industries Group in 1988. BGF Industries currently employs over 750 people in six locations.
