BGF Industries invests 7 million US dollars in the USA
Porcher Industries has evolved from a regionally organized operation to a thoroughly international group of companies that meets the needs of the global market it serves. The investment in a new US corporate headquarters and a state-of-the-art technology center is a key element in the company's global growth. This enables customers across the continent to benefit from improved technical support and customer service. Following BGF Industries's acquisition of the 13,375 m² Virginia facility last year, this move now confirms Porcher's new Industries´ commitment to the U.S. market.
BGF Industries Inc., which operates under the name Burlington Glass Fabrics, was one of the first glass-fibre textile weavers in the USA when it was founded in 1941 and became a subsidiary of the Porcher Industries Group in 1988. Its innovative technical textiles and advanced composites are used in a wide variety of applications in aerospace, construction, automotive, electrical, filtration, insulation and protection applications around the world. BGF Industries currently employs over 750 people in six locations.
As a major actor in high performance technical textiles and composites, Porcher Industries is active in five key markets: Aerospace and Defense, Automotive, Building, Industrial and Electronics, Sport and Leisure. Present in Europe, China, the United States, Brazil and Russia, the group employs 2,250 staff and has a turnover of 320 M€.
