Tanatex Chemicals changes Management

As of January 1, 2109 the Management Board of the Netherlands-based Tanatex Chemicals saw several changes. With  Jørgen Vendel as new CEO, Calvin Qiu as new CFO, and Paul Oude Lenferink as new CTO, a new era starts for the company formed in 2007.

Over the past 11 years, Tanatex, part of the Transfar Group since 2016, has developed a robust, sustainable textile processing chemicals business. After 11 years as frontmen, Marco de Koning (CEO) and Arthur Hopmans (CFO) decided  to depart by end of 2018 and give room to new ideas.

Old and new faces
Vendel joined the company early 2017 as CCO and now makes the move to CEO. He gained experience in the global chemicals industry, due to former local and international senior management roles at The Linde Group and BP Oil. The new CEO continues to fulfill the role of CCO for the time being.

Calvin Qiu has been working during the past 18 years for multinational companies including China Eastern Airlines, Cisco Systems, Shell and, most recently, AkzoNobel in various senior global business and financial roles. Qui brings a combination of financial expertise and commercial acumen with a background across China and the Netherlands to the company

In the continued pursuit of the strategic objectives, the role of Chief Technology Officer has been elevated to Board level recognizing the importance of technological competence, innovation focus and product stewardship. Paul Oude Lenferink has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) after he was responsible for R&D and technology developments of the company during the last eight years.
